• Wow! I’m bad at remembering to update this blog. I have finalized the level 2 theme as well as added in sounds for the interactions with the climbing vine and bounce pad mushroom (although the climbing vine is a bit glitchy.) I plan to add sound effects for growing these plants, as well as sfx for the runoff refilling puddles if that ever happens. Unfortunately, it will have to be a little second until I’m ready to make a pull request for these additions.

  • I have almost completed all the audio stuff for the parts of the game I currently have access to. I am likely to make another pull request after sufficient time testing out that everything works (for example, I have noticed a slight lag issue that I may have caused? I’m not quite sure.)

  • Well, I forgot to blog last week! After a nightmare of a week filled with far too many essays, I have managed to start progress on the main menu and precipitation themes, although I have been having troubles with finding a satisfactory version of the main menu theme. Beyond that, I think that I’ve managed to successfully implement a mechanism to switch the background music that’s playing and that I’ve hooked up all the sound effects in the game to their proper mixers, but I could have made some mistakes there. Next up, I plan to try to add in some more atmospheric SFX and such, as well as get started on more of the functional programming for the game.

  • This week is the start me working on projects for Disco Tray Studios. To start with, I’m going to be implementing an option system for one of the games that we’re working on. I am also starting to compose original scores for the game.

  • Officially created this blog to log my weekly progress!
